"Me love you long time!"

I always knew Japanese people were weird but this takes the cake.  From the nation that eat octopus alive and where men have large pantie collections, a video game nerd decided it was time to tie the knot. The bride to be… his virtual girlfriend, on the hit game Love Plus.

How is this news? Some crazy guy decided he was done whacking off to his Nintendo DS and wanted to take the next step in his undoubted insanity. Good for him I say. What really bothers me more is the game Love Plus.  It is basically a dating simulator but instead of paying for dinner or going to see the new Twilight movie to prove your sensitivity, you just hit the A and B buttons successfully. I wonder if this game is available for the Wii? Don’t even want to know what you can use the remote for at this point.

Why is he wearing a suit? Did her virtual father give her away? What was her dowry? I wonder if in the Middle East version of the game you collect your girlfriends and virtually beat them for shaming your good name because they left the house showing off their nose? I wonder if E-Harmony is going to jump on this guy and put him in the next commercial?

Hopefully the sequel, Love Minus- the divorce simulator, doesn’t come out. Hate to see this nice guy not only lose his mind but half of everything he owns as well.
