It’s the end of the year. So in the coming weeks I’m going to hit you all up with some of the worst things I’ve come across in the world for 2009. First up: Music. All of the selections below have some form of a following and I really don’t understand why. In the comments, post the worst music that YOU came across this year as well. I know there is so much more.
Hollywood Undead
5. Hollywood Undead. I have no idea what genre of music this is. They have 7 members. I think 4 of them are singing at once. They make Insane Clown Posse seem like masters of their genre. They are described as crunk core, whatever that means, and have been on the Billboard Top 200 for the entire year.
If this is a sign of the future I say we stop trying to be so green and burn the planet while we can.
Broken Ncyde
4. BrokeNcyde. Total crap. The use of auto tune here reminds me that people with no real talent will make it happen somehow. Who the hell is this music for? “Let’s get freaky” now and then and a bunch of murderous screams and then a dance hall beat. I don’t get it.
If this crap is on your Ipod, hopefully it carries a virus and erases your hard drive.
Waking The Cadaver
3 Waking the Cadaver. I love metal, and this my friends is one of the worse forms of metal I have ever come across. This is a genre known as slam metal. The lyrics are about murder and the vocals sound like a pig squealing in pain. The drums are not in any idea of time and the guitar never makes it past the second fret. The guys are all dressed like they are in a rap video. Basically, none of it makes any sense. Hopefully, if there is a Zombie attack and cadavers start being awoken, this will be the first band that gets torn into pieces.

Attack Attack
2. Attack Attack. What the F is crabcore? I have no idea, but I guess it has something to do with playing your guitar and headbanging in a position that resembles taking a shit in the woods. Autotune and screaming for the sake of screaming amount to another band that will be here and gone in a few years.
The singer just got kicked out… and hopefully a drug overdose or two or three or four will be next.
Van Canto
1. Van Canto. This is the worst band I have ever heard. It’s a drummer and 5 singers. That’s right an a capella metal band that uses their voices for instruments. I guess this is cool to people in Germany but, like I always say, never trust what the German people think is cool at the time. You must see their cover of Metallica’s Battery. If Metallica wasn’t so busy suing Napster-like websites, they could take down these idiots too- would be the best thing Metallica has done since Cliff died.

I almost thought this list was gonna be all Jonas Brothers and Lady Gaga hating.
I am a Lady Gaga fan…I have a soft spot for Lady Gaga…well…maybe its a hard spot…
Im trying to picture what the groupies of these bands look like…because to a bunch of 16 year old girls somewhere in the world…these are the coolest guys on the planet and get laid as a result of their noise pollution.

Im a big fan of pig squealin’ death metal bands that do it effectively and creatively.. Walking the Cadaver are a brilliant band, the rest are shite in my opinion… Especially BrokeNcyde thanking hate them they are a disgrace to Pig Squealin’ music…
Pig Squealing is an art form, a very hard art form to pull of creatively and is actually the hardest vocal style to pull off correctly without damaging your vocal cords… So for someone to do it right has a lot of versatility in there vocals an have had to put more work into vocal training than your typical singers like Lady Gaga who uses an auto tune in her songs anyway, unlike these bands…
If you want prime example of decent Pig Squeal bands check Twitch of the Death Nerve, Last Days of Humanity, Ingested, Necrotorture you’ll find plenty more linked to them on youtube.. Some crap, some good… Just depends how you interpret your music…Remember….

I think you’re a little unfair with Van Canto. Ok, their “Battery” cover isn’t very good, but have you heard some of their original creations ? As “The Mission” for example ? I’ve this song in the head since I’ve listen to it. I just love it ! And it’s not the only one !
