Its just a television show. Its supposed to be funny and amuse. Its also a show that constantly reinforces stereotypes JOKINGLY. The stereotype for christians is that they act like the way they are portrayed in Jerome is the New Black. While Brian is MEANT to be a dick, don’t call Seth Macfarlane one. He is an intelligent, sophisticated comedy genius.

I completely agree with you, 9 years of leaning left and Family Guy finally went off on Liberals. I almost could not believe it was happening…one of the best summations I have ever heard.

I liked this rant a lot, and frankly I can apply parts of it to myself (i.e. I’ve never helped out at a soup kitchen). It’s odd that it has to come from a character who supposedly knocks women unconscious and then rapes them (giggity?), but still it’s one of the best moments, if not the best, of the recent episodes of a show that in all honestly hasn’t been truly consistently funny for some time now. The question on my mind is, will this be the first step to making this a genuinely better show, or by next week are we gonna get an episode where Brian and/or Lois lecture us on the evils of voting Republican, while Peter reminisces about the time he drank Mr. T’s iced tea?
